She was a member of the Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church, Jamestown, KY. She was the matriarch of a respected Jamestown, KY, family. She was a Russell County native, the daughter of the late Bessie (Dunbar) & Silas Dunbar, and was a resident of Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the widow of Eugene Hadley. She leaves seven direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in her native Jamestown, KY.

JoNell Hadley, 85, of Jamestown, KY passed away Thursday March 1, 2018, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services for JoNell Hadley will be at Mt Hope Separate Baptist Church in Jamestown, KY at 2pmCT, Sunday March 4, 2018, with Bro. Randy Brown officiating. Friends may visit 5pm-8pmCT, at the church on Saturday, March 3, 2018, and on Sunday 10amCT till time of service. Burial will be in the Jamestown City Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

JoNell Hadley was born in Jamestown, Russell County, KY on December 13, 1932. She was a daughter of the late Bessie (Dunbar) & Silas Dunbar. She died Thursday March 1, 2018, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 85 years, two months, and 16 days.

She was member of the Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church. She is survived by:
  • Daughter: Debbie (Jeff) Perkins, of Jamestown, KY

  • A son: Daryl (Carol) Hadley, of Louisville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Cassandra (Adam) Justice, Ryan Conner, and Kyle Hadley

  • Two great grandsons: Jacob and Carter Hadley
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eugene Hadley, sister Eunice Grider, and brother Gwinn Dunbar.
