Mildred Ann Royse Cundiff, Adair Co. KY native (1937-2018)

She was born in Columbia, KY, and resided in Bowling Green, KY, at the time of her death. She was a member of prominent Adair County, KY families, by birth into to Royse family of Garlin and Columbia; by marriage into the Cundiff family of South Adair County. She was the widow of Noel Cundiff. Services and burial will be in Bowling Green, KY. She is warmly remembered by Adair County High School class of 1955 fellow students, and many others in Adair County.

Mildred Ann Royse Cundiff, 80, of Bowling Green, KY. died Thursday, February 22 at her residence.

Memorial services will be held 11amCT, Monday, February 26, 2018 at Christ United Methodist on Cave Mill Road, 716 Cave Mill Road, Bowling Green, Kentucky. Visitation will be 4pm until 7pmCT, at Christ United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 25, 2018, and on Monday from 9am to 11amCT. Burial will be private.



Mildred Ann (Royse) Cundiff, Warren Co./Adair Co. KY native (1937-2018)


The Adair County native was born on May 22, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Amly & Lena Royse. She died Thursday, February 22, 2018, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 80 years, nine months.

She was married to the late Noel Cundiff, her husband of 46 years. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church and was a retired elementary school teacher.

She is survived by:
  • A son: Kevin (Christie), Garland, TX

  • A daughter: Susie Brooks (Kevin), Bowling Green, KY

  • A brother: Kenneth Royse, Bowling Green, KY

  • A sister-in-law: Sammy Hancock Cundiff, Versailles, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Kenneth Cundiff, Taylor Brooks, Chris Cundiff, Sarah Brooks, and Beth Brooks

  • As well as several nieces and nephews
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Dan Royse and his wife Audra of Columbia, KY; sister-in-law Fannie Dickens and her husband Paul; brother-in-law Cosby Cundiff and his wife Sarah of Adair County, KY; and brother-in-law Cook Cundiff.
