Clarice Floyd, 98, Yosemite, Casey Co., KY (1919-2018)

She was a former L.P.N. and a member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church. She was one of 11 children of the late Marvis & Zettie Emerson Williams; with her passing three siblings survive. She was the widow of Aaron "Big A" Floyd She leaves 18 direct living descendants.

Clarice Williams Floyd age 98, of Yosemite, KY passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at the Liberty Care and Rehabilitation Center, Liberty, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 10amCT/11amET, Saturday February 24, 2018 at Mt. Olive Christian Church, 1974 State Hwy 837, Yosemite, KY, with Rev. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will in the Durham Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5pm-7pmCT/6pm-8pmET, Friday, February 23, 2018, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY; and after 9amCT/10amET, Saturday February 24th, 2018 at the Mt. Olive Christian Church.



Clarice Floyd, 98, Yosemite, Casey County, KY (1919-2018)


She was born in Waynesburg, KY on May 29, 1919 a daughter of the late Marvis & Zettie Emerson Williams. She died Saturday, February 17, 2018, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 98 years, eight months, and 19 days.

Clarice was the widow of Aaron "Big A" Floyd who passed away on July 15, 2013.

Clarice was a former L.P.N. and a member of the Mt. Olive Christian Church.

Survivors include:
  • Three sons: Robert "Bobby" and (Marlene) Floyd of Oklahoma City, OK; Carroll C. and (Betty) Floyd of Campbellsville, KY; and W. Gene and (Sue) Floyd of Shelbyville, KY

  • Five grandchildren: Eva Floyd Warner and (David), Chad and (Jessica) Floyd, Becky and (Chris) Brewer, Matthew and (Rachale) Floyd and Patrick and (Chellee) Floyd

  • Ten great grandchildren: Jaden Thompson, Gracie Brewer, Anna and Aaron Floyd, Reid and Rowan Warner, Macrina and Basil Floyd, Sophia and Emma Floyd

  • One brother: Donald Williams of Waynesburg, KY

  • Two sisters: Aline Luttrell of Dunnville, KY; and Florence Plemmons of Oak Ridge, TN
Besides her parents and spouse she was preceded in death by one grandson: Timothy Floyd; six brothers: Reid, Ernest, Frank, Cleo, David and Ronald Williams; and one sister, Hazel Bennett.
