David Louis (Buck) Veatch, 73, Taylor County, KY (1945-2018)

He was a retired employee of the City of Campbellsville Street Department. He was an avid horseback rider and one of his favorite things to do was working in the hay field. He also loved operating heavy equipment. He was born in Taylor County, KY, was a resident of the county at the time of his death, and will be buried in Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. He was the son of the late William Val Veatch & Annie Lee Shipp Veatch. His wife of over 43 years survives. He leaves eight direct living descendants, spanning three generations.

The funeral services is at 12pmCT/1pmET, Monday, February 19, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will be in the 200 block of Brookside Cemetery, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.x



David Louis (Buck) Veatch, 73, Taylor County, KY (1945-2018)


David Louis "Buck" Veatch of Campbellsville, KY, was the son of the late William Val Veatch & Annie Lee Shipp Veatch. He was born February 14, 1945 in Taylor County, KY. He died at Friday, February 16, 2018 in Campbellsville, Taylor COunty, KY, at the age of 73 years, two days.

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Temple.

Buck was a retired employee of the City of Campbellsville Street Department.

He was an avid horseback rider and one of his favorite things to do was working in the hay field. He also loved operating heavy equipment.

He united in marriage to Faye Judd on August 31, 1974.

Besides his wife, Faye Judd Veatch of Campbellsville, KY, he is survived by:
  • Three sons: Brian Veatch and Tammy Gibbs Simpson of Campbellsville, KY; Kevin Veatch of Lexington, KY; and Matthew Veatch and Trisha Burton of Richmond, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Brittany Michelle Veatch, Avrie Giselle Veatch, Brennan Ryan Veatch and Bradley Louis Veatch

  • One great-granddaughter: Kennedy Elizabeth Inman

  • One sister and three brothers: Janice Sallee and husband, Delmar; William Lee Veatch, Carl Veatch and Billy Veatch and wife, Mary Ann of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
He was also preceded in death by one son, Bobby Louis Veatch November 2, 2017 and two sisters: Mary Ann Veatch and Linda Faye Veatch in infancy.
