Patricia Ann Williams Beard, Adair County, KY (1935-2018)

Patricia was a passionate woman, loving family and friends dearly. She loved God and made sure she made a home with him in it. She was a member of Columbia Christian Church and a long-time member of Tabernacle Christian Church. Patricia Beard was a hard-worker and hung on to that work ethic to the age of 77. She worked as a seamstress at Fruit of the Loom, hired on with John D. Lowe at Lowe's Drug for many years, then spent the remainder of her work years at Columbia Pharmacy with David Bowman. She was a member of a highly respected family. She was the daughter of the late Lilburn Overstreet Williams & Vinnie Lee Grant William and the widow of George Beard. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Patricia Ann Williams Beard, 82, of Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the home of her daughter.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Terry White officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Friday, February 16, 2018.

Patricia Ann Williams Beard, Adair County, KY (1935-2018)

She was born September 25, 1935, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lilburn Overstreet Williams & Vinnie Lee Grant Williams. She died Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at the age of 82 years, four months, and 19 days.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Beard in 2011.

Patricia was a passionate woman, loving family and friends dearly. She loved God and made sure she made a home with him in it. She was a member of Columbia Christian Church and a long-time member of Tabernacle Christian Church.

Survivors include:
  • One son: George Steven Beard of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and Michael Roy of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Alisha Stotts and husband Jason, Adam Roy and special friend, Courtney Maulden, Andrew Roy and wife Ashley, all of Columbia, KY

  • Two great-grandsons: Tristen Stotts and Carson Roy

  • Two sisters: Nancy Williams Watson and husband, David, of Campbellsville, KY; and Carolyn Williams Curry and husband, Phil, of Knoxville, TN

  • A host of cousins, nieces, nephews and long-time friends
