Inez Mae Cary Williams, 96, Cumberland Co., KY (1921-2018)

She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and attended services at the Meadowbrook Church of Christ in Anderson, IN. She was retired from the Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison. She was a native of Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Travis & Florence Cary and the widow of Thedfod Williams. She leaves 16 living plus one-on-the-way direct descendants. Her final resting place will be in her native Cumberland County.

Inez Mae Cary Williams, age 96 passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11amCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10am until the service time at 11amCT, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Private burial will follow the service in the Marrowbone Cemetery.

Inez Mae Cary Williams, was born April 28, 1921 in Leslie (Cumberland County), KY. She was the daughter of Travis & Florence Cary. She died Sunday, February 11, 2018, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 96 years, nine months, and 14 days.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ and attended services at the Meadowbrook Church of Christ in Anderson, IN. She was retired from the Finance Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison.

She is survived by:
  • Her three children: Vaughn (Pamela) Williams, Elaine Cary Williams, and Patricia Hammond

  • Sister-in-law, Kathleen Cary

  • Her three grandchildren: Heather (Eddie) Ellison, Travis (Shonda) Williams and Matthew ( Amanda) Adams

  • Her seven great-grandchildren: Madalyn Adams, MaKayla Adams, Johnny (Stacy) Thomason, Dale (Marie) Ellison, Tom Williams, Harley Williams, and Abigail Williams

  • Three great-great-grandchildren

  • And another great-great-grandchild due in October
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thedfod (TV) Williams; her parents, Travis Elmore (Addie Florence Shaw) Cary; brother, (Bill) Cary; and her favorite son-in-law, Dave Hammond.

In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to the Shultz-Lewis Children's Home through the Meadowbrook Church of Christ, 601 West 38th Street, Anderson, IN 46013.
