Hazel Marie Hale, 85, Taylor Co., KY/Casey native (1932-2018)

She was a homemaker. Ms. Hale enjoyed embroidery, gardening, and caring for her dogs. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of her death in Boyle County, KY. She was the widow of Fred Wilbur Hale. She leaves 15 direct living descendants.

Hazel Marie "Mammie" Hale, 85, of Mannsville, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY.

A graveside service will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET, on Friday, February 9, 2018, at Casey County Memorial Gardens with Father Lawman Chibundi officiating.

Hazel was born in Casey County, KY, on February 29, 1932. She died Monday, February 5, 2018, in Danville, Boyle County, KY, at the age of 85 years, 11 months, and seven days.

She was a homemaker. Ms. Hale enjoyed embroidery, gardening, and caring for her dogs.

Survivors include:
  • Her three grandchildren: Lindsey Lynn, Sarah Grider and Gloria (Jayme) Summers

  • Nine great-grandchildren

  • Three great-great grandchildren.
Ms. Hale is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Wilbur Hale, who passed away on November 8, 1994; her daughter, Wanda Grider; a grandson, Matt Grider; and a great-grandson, Zach Summers.
