She was a homemaker and of the Methodist Church. She was a native of Columbus, IN, and a resident of Edmonton, KY at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Dallas & Nettie Harvey Brown. Her husband, Lawrence Pickett, Edmonton, KY, survives. She was the matriarch or a large, respected family. She leaves 37 direct living descendants.

Janet Faye Pickett age 79 of Edmonton passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton, KY.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9amCT, until service time, Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born December 2, 1938, in Columbus, Bartholemew County, IN. She was the daughter of the late Dallas & Nettie Harvey Brown. She died Sunday, January 28, 2018,m in Edmonton Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 79 years, one month, and 26 days.

She was a homemaker and of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Lawrence Pickett of Edmonton, KY

  • One son: Brian Rogers of Edmonton, KY

  • Two daughters: Judy Gilliland of Hope, IN; and Janice Clymer of Columbus, IN

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Twenty-five great grandchildren
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Richard Brown, sister Violet England, step son Larry Pickett, and a grandson Jeremy Daniels.
