Tammy Reeder, 43, Columbia, Adair County, KY (1974-2018)

She was a retired teacher of the Adair County Middle School who faithfully attended the Glensfork Church of the Nazarene. She was a woman of tremendous courage, confident in her trust in Christ in the face of overwhelming odds. She was a member of a leading Adair County family, the daughter of the late Jimmy Bragg and of Betty Wall who survives, as does her husband, Chris Reeder. She leaves two direct living descendants.

Tammy Reeder, 43, of Columbia, KY passed away at 4:30amCT Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in her home after several months illness.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 26, 2018 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating will be Bro. Brian Fudge and Bro. Troy Long. Interment will be in the Freedom Cemetery, 576 Freedom Church Road, in Eastern Adair County, KY . The family requests visiting after 3pmCT, on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.

She was born August 6, 1974 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of Betty Wall and the late Jimmy Bragg, Columbia, KY. She died Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 43 years, five months, and 18 days.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Bragg; her grandmother, Thelma "Ma" Wall; and her father-in-law Greg Reeder.

Tammy was a retired teacher of the Adair County Middle School, she faithfully attended the Glensfork Church of the Nazarene

Survived by:
  • Her mother: Betty Wall of Columbia, KY

  • Her husband of 25 years: Chris Reeder of Columbia, KY

  • One son; Justin (Angel) Reeder of Columbia, KY

  • One daughter; Ashley Reeder of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Sandy (Glenn) Stearns of Columbia, KY and Pam (Stephen) Compton of Columbia, KY

  • Nieces: Whitney Stearns and Meredith Compton

  • Mother- in-law Deeanna Reeder of Columbia, KY

  • Several aunts and uncles

  • A host of other relatives and friends

  • and her special dog, Ellie
