Gilboa Baptist Church, Campbellsville, KY. She leaves 13 direct living descendants.

There will be a funeral service in Lexington, KY, 1pmCT/2pmET Friday, January 5, 2018 at Rosemont Baptist Church, 556 Rosemont Garden, Lexington, KY, by Bro. Eddie Benton. Visitation in Lexington, KY, will be 11pm-1pmCT/12pmNoon-2pmET, Friday, January 5, 2017, at Rosemont Baptist Church.

The Campbellsville Funeral Service, will be at 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday January 6, 2018, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Rev. A. Landon Hadley and Rev. Eddie Benton. Visitation in Campbellsville, KY, will be 11pm-1pmCT/12pmNoon-2pmET, Saturday, January 6, Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, 200 Block W Main Street, Campbellsville, KY.



Edna Bernice Jarboe Farmer, Taylor County, KY (1925-2018)


Edna Bernice Jarboe Farmer was the daughter of the late Robert Jarboe & Virgie Marr Jarboe. She was born December 21, 1925 in Taylor County, KY. She died at Thursday, January 4, 2018 in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 92 years, 14 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a faithful member of Rosemont Baptist Church where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class and the Thrifty Needles Sewing Group.

She united in marriage to her husband of 58 years, J. W. Farmer, December 23, 1944 and he preceded her in death September 16, 2003.

Bernice supported J. W. in their church ministry (Ruth 1:16-17) at Pikes Ridge Baptist Church, Lowell Avenue Mission, Menlo Baptist Church, Menlo, GA; Bice Memorial Baptist Church, Atlanta, GA; KY Baptist Associational Missionary, Little Union Baptist Church, Fairfield, KY; First Baptist Church, Irvine, KY; First Baptist Church, Carrollton, KY; and Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church, Campbellsville, KY.

She is survived by:
  • One son and one daughter: Lynn Edward Farmer and wife, Nancy of Lebanon, KY; and Karen Farmer Marshall and husband, Tom of Lexington, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Wesley Farmer and wife, Aletia; Amy Chandler and husband, James, Seth Farmer and wife, Donna and Thomas Marshall and wife, Lindsay

  • Seven great-grandchildren: Jakob Farmer, Adeline Farmer, Riley Farmer, Avery Farmer, Lauren Marshall, Eamon Nasr and Arion Nasr

  • Two sisters-in-law: Nora Susan Jarboe of Louisville, KY; and Mary Frances Skaggs of Greenville, KY

  • Many Jarboe and Farmer nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters: Roy Jarboe, Ralph Jarboe, Carter Jarboe, Ira Jarboe, R. W. Jarboe, Lena Richerson, Mae Sherrard and Ruby Wise.
