Mr. James Robert Whitehead, 66, Green County, KY (1951-2018)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Christian Worship Center in Horse Cave, KY. He was a native of Jefferson County, KY, and a resident of Green County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Jessie James Whitehead & Nora Allie Scott Whitehead. He was patriarch of a large South Central Kentucky family. He leaves 18 direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in LaRue County, KY.

Mr. James Robert Whitehead, age 66, of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the University of Louisville Hospital, Louisville, KY.

The funeral services for Mr. James Robert Whitehead will be conducted at 11amCT, Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY with burial to follow in in LaRue County, in Mt. Sherman Cemetery, Mt. Sherman Ward Road, Magnolia, KY. Bro. Danny Sallee will officiate. Visitation is requested 3pm-8pmCT, Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Thursday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Robby Whitehead, Mark Wright, Gilbert Wright, Tim Wright, Steven Edwards, and Jonathan Edwards.

Mr. James Robert Whitehead was the son of the late Jessie James Whitehead & Nora Allie Scott Whitehead. He was born on Monday, April 30, 1951 in Jefferson County, KY and departed this life on Monday, January 1, 2018 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was 66 years, 8 months, and 2 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Christian Worship Center in Horse Cave.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters and a son-in-law: Angie and Toby Bolin of Cave City, KY; and Shaunna Whitehead and her boyfriend, Steven Mitchell both of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sons: Robby Whitehead and his girlfriend, Corrie Padget, both of Sonora, KY; and Leslie Whitehead of Campbellsville, KY

  • A sister: Martha Edwards of Greensburg, KY

  • Two brothers: Herman Whitehead of Louisville, KY; and Thomas Whitehead of Greensburg, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Three great-grandchildren

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Whitehead was also preceded in death by a son: James Leslie Whitehead; a grandchild: Zayden Whitehead; and a brother: Harvey Whitehead.
