Odell Robertson, Russell County, KY (1925-2017)

She was a homemaker and a member of New Friendship Baptist Church. She was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death in Pulaski County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ricy & Evelyn Hatfield Foley, and the widow of Kermit Robertson. She was the matriarch of a very large, respected Russell County, KY family. She leaves seven living children, all in Russell County, KY and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren to carry on her legacy. Her final resting place will be in Russell County, KY, at New Friendship Cemetery

Odell Robertson, 92, of Russell Springs, died Friday, December 29, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Odell Robertson will be at 11amCT, Monday, January 1, 2018 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. James Robertson, Bro. Andy Robertson, and Bro. Paul Roy officiating. Visitation 5pm-8pmCT, Sunday and after 8amCT Monday. Interment in the New Friendship Cemetery.

She was born December 26, 1925 in Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Ricy & Evelyn Hatfield Foley. She died Friday, December 29, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 92 years, three days.

She was a homemaker and a member of New Friendship United Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Kermit Robertson. Survivors are:
  • Seven children: Beverly Ann (Brent) Kelsey, Russell Springs, KY; Lorraine (Johnny) Jones, Russell Springs, KY; Brenda Carol (Larry) Smith, Jamestown, KY; Kermith Michael (Bonnie) Robertson, Russell Springs, KY' Daryl Mitchell (Debra) Robertson, Russell Springs, KY; Walter Bryan (Helen) Robertson, Russell Springs, KY; and Terry Edward (Gail) Robertson, Jamestown, KY

  • A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren

  • One sister: Adell (Mike) Barger, Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: Jerry Foley, Bargersville, IN

  • Sister-in-law: Flora Foley, Russell Springs, KY
