KSP investigating Grayson Co., KY fatal shooting Fri 29 Dec 2017 Domestic disturbance/shooting ends tragically, with one man dead. No charges have been file. KSP Detective Scotty Sharp is continuing investigation. Case will be presented upon completio to the Grayson County Commonwealth Attorneys Office for review. Click on headline for complete story By Trooper Jeff Gregory, Public Information Officer Kentucky State Police Post 04, Elizabethtown, KY (CLARKSON, KY) - (Fri 29 Dec 2017) Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers and Detectives are working a Death Investigation after a Clarkson man was shot following an altercation this morning. On December 29, 2017, at approximately 2amET, KSP Post 4 was requested by the Grayson Co. dispatch to work a domestic disturbance/shooting that occurred at 4334 Grayson Springs Road, in Clarkson. Kaitlyn Houchin, 21, and her boyfriend Stephen Waninger, 31, have both been living with her father, Billy Joe Houchin, 46, at his Clarkson residence. Kaitlyn Houchin and Waninger became involved in a domestic altercation when Billy Joe Houchin attempted to intervene. Stephen Waninger and Billy Joe Houchin then got involved in a serious physical altercation. After a lengthy struggle between the two, Billy Joe Houchin fatally shot Wanninger. Billy Joe Houchin refused treatment for his injuries. The case will remain under investigation by KSP Detective Scotty Sharp and will be presented upon completion to the Grayson Co. Commonwealth Attorneys Office for review. No charges will be filed at this time. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Grayson Co. Sheriff's Dept. This story was posted on 2017-12-29 13:30:01
