Mr. James Wallace Lobb, Green County, KY (1936-2017)

Mr. Lobb professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1954 graduate of Green County High School, and a long-time employee and retiree of the Tennessee Gas Company. He was a member of a large, respected Green County, KY family. He was the son of the late Marvin & Minnie (Davis) Lobb. His wife, Mrs. Nina Lobb, survives. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

Mr. James Wallace Lobb left this world on Monday, November 20, 2017 on his final journey.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Lobb on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Larry Rhodes will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Green County Memory Gardens Cemetery, 4697 Hodgenville Road, Greensburg, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 10amCT/11amET, Saturday, November 25, 2017, until time for the service.



Mr. James Wallace Lobb, Green County, KY (1936-2017)


He was born in Greensburg, Green County, KY on August 4, 1936. He was the son of late Marvin & Minnie (Davis) Lobb on August 4, 1936. He died Monday, November 20, 2017. He was 81 years, 3 months, and 16 days of age.

Mr. Lobb professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a 1954 graduate of Green County High School, and a long-time employee and retiree of the Tennessee Gas Company.

He united in marriage to Mrs. Nina (Thompson) Larimore, who survives.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Nina Lobb, he is also survived by:
  • Three children: James Taylor "Jim" Lobb and wife Linda of Louisville, KY; JeNie Altman and husband Gerald of Campbellsville, KY; and Patricia Baldwin of Lexington, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Caitlin Jackson and husband Britt of Columbia, KY; Erin Mason and husband Will of Cleveland, Ohio; Daniel Lobb and wife Matilde of Louisville, KY; and Jason Baldwin of Campbellsville, KY

  • One sister: Rev. Elizabeth Milby of Summersville, KY

  • And a host of other family and friends
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Nannie Ermine Carroll.
