Barbara Ann Fant Harlow, Metcalfe County, KY (1921-2017)

She was a homemaker and member of the South Edmonton Church of Christ. She was the widow of the Eugene Harlow and the daughter of the late William Wort & Julia Alice Graham Fant. She was the matriarch of a large, highly regarded family with deep roots in North Metcalfe County, KY. She leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Barbara Ann Fant Harlow age 85 of Edmonton, KY, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton.

Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Butler Funeral Home, 206 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be from 4:30pm until 8pmCT, Tuesday, November 22, 2017, and after 9amCT, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Barbara was the daughter of the late William Wort & Julia Alice Graham Fant. She was born March 17, 1932. She died November 19, 2017 in Edmonton, Metcalfe County, KY, at the age of 85 years, eight months, and two days.

She was a homemaker and member of the South Edmonton Church of Christ. She was the widow of Eugene Harlow who passed away December 14, 2007. She is survived by:
  • Two children: Bobby Harlow and wife Becky; and LaNelle Cawthorn and husband Barton, all of Edmonton, KY

  • Two sisters: Mary Lynn of Glasgow, KY; and Myrtle Smith of Dallas, TX

  • Five grandchildren: Daniel Cawthorn of Edmonton, KY; Amanda Bragg of Edmonton, KY; Cayce Harlow of Nashville, TN; Joshua and wife Casey Harlow of Hiseville, KY; and Kyle and wife Lora Beth Harlow of Cave City, KY

  • Five great grandchildren: Hayley Bragg, Shelby Bragg, Hannah Bragg, Autumn Harlow and Lilly Mae Harlow

  • Several nieces and nephews
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers. Emil, John Davis and Bill Fant
