Mary Frank Mayes, Taylor Co., KY (1923-2017) She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was the oldest member of Campbellsville Christian Church. She had retired after 32 years as an instructor at Fruit of the Loom. She was actively involved in the Ladies Prayer Group and Harmony Missionary Society. She was an active member of the Homemakers Club and previously volunteered with the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary. She had also served as an assistant teacher in the Glow Worms Preschool Program. She was the matriarch of an outstanding family, with many direct and step-descendants. She was the daughter of the late John Rice Wolford & Minnie Florence McKenty Wolford, and the widow of William Howard "Bill" Mayes, her husband of 27 years. She was born March 29, 1923, in Taylor County, KY. She died Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 94 years, seven monhts, and 20 days. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was the oldest member of Campbellsville Christian Church. Mary Frank was actively involved in the Ladies Prayer Group and Harmony Missionary Society. She had also served as an assistant teacher in the Glow Worms Preschool Program. She was a retired instructor at Fruit of the Loom having been employed there for thirty two years. She was an active member of the Homemakers Club and previously volunteered with the Taylor Regional Hospital Auxiliary.
