She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of The Glensfork Community Church. She was a member of a large, respected family. She was the daughter of the late Allan & Gracie Munday Curry. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Geneva Bennett age 74 years of Columbia, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 2:39pmCT, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 10amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating Bro. Stanley Watson Interment in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Friday, November 10, 2017.



Geneva Bennett, 74, Adair County, KY (1943-2017)


She was born on February 5, 1943 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Allan & Gracie Munday Curry. She died Wednesday, November 8, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 74 years, nine months, and three days.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Mink Curry & Steve Curry.

Survivors include:
  • Two daughters: Ann (Randy) Bennett of Somerset, KY; and. Terry (Jack) Hill of Somerset, KY

  • Two brothers: Sandy (Annette) Curry of Glensfork, KY; & Dwight Curry of Greensburg, KY

  • Three sisters: Hilda Curry of Campbellsville, KY; Ocella Perkins & her late husband Sonny of Campbellsville, KY; and Anetta (Linnie) Druin of Bardstown, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Randy Bennett Jr.; Steve Allan Corbin; and Eric Lynn Corbin

  • Three great grandchildren: Steve Allan Corbin Jr., Drew Corbin and Ellie Corbin

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
She had professed faith in Christ & was a member of The Glensfork Community Church.
