Harvey Wheeler, 78, Casey County, KY (1939-2017)

He was a farmer, truck driver, and worked in a factory. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Separate Baptist Church. Harvey pastored at various churches throughout his life. He loved his family and was known for his humbleness and kind personality to all. He was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Dewey & Pearl Morgan Wheeler. His wife of 57 years, Phyllis Louise Brown Wheeler, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.

Harvey Wheeler, of Liberty, passed away on November 6, 2017, at Liberty Care Center, Liberty, KY.

The funeral service will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Libery, KY, with Bro. Steve Warner and Bro. Carol Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Born on September 13, 1939, in Casey County, KY. He was a son of the late Dewey & Pearl Morgan Wheeler. He died Monday, November 6, 2017, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 78 years, one month, and 24 days.

Harvey was a farmer, truck driver, and worked in a factory. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Separate Baptist Church. Harvey pastored at various churches throughout his life. He loved his family and was known for his humbleness and kind personality to all.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Louise Brown Wheeler, whom he wed on September 24, 1960, and the following:
  • A daughter, Tammie (Greg) Bernard of Dunnville, KY

  • A son: Tim Wheeler of Casey County, KY

  • Two sisters: Barbara Ann (Jimmy) Hale of Shepherdsville, KY; and Peggy (Rollen) Thomas of Noblesville, IN

  • And a brother: Phillip (Connie) Wheeler of Liberty, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Rachel and Sidney.
