The Cumberland County Cheerleaders honor October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting a Pinkout night on October 23, 2017, for a Girls doubleheader against the Glasgow Scotties.
The cheerleaders had a face paint fundraisers and half court shot contest to help the girls with needed items for Cheer.
October 23 until end of ball season the girls will host a half court shot in between home games. On October 23, 2017 Bronson Wade, Isaiah Dyer and Khalin Walden all three won the half court shot. Entries cost $1 and the prize is Subway gift cards and bragging rights! Great job guys on your perfect shots.
A second Pinkout night will be held on October 30, 2017, for a boys triple header against the Metcalfe County Hornets. Everyone is invited to join the cheerleaders in celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness tonight. There will be a special presentation from the CCMS cheerleaders in conjunction with Patchwork and Prayers to Dana Denny, a local breast cancer patient.
Patchwork and Prayers is a local Community Service Project inspiring others to create, pray over and distribute hand made quilts to patients with life threatening illnesses.
