Donnel Walker, 71, Adair County, KY (1946-2017)

He was a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church. He was a highly respected member of the community. He was the son of the late Edwin P. & Geneva Nell Fudge Walker. His wife, Bonnie Pelston Walker, survives. He leaves four direct living descendants. He was a supervisor of excavating construction for many years for Lewis Garrison Construction, Larry Glass Construction and Danny Pyles Excavating. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and other outdoor activities

Donnel Walker, 71 of the Sparksville Community of Adair County, KY passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 4:05pmCT, at his home after a brief illness.

Funeral service: Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Bro. Terry Turner & Bro. Troy Elmore the officiatin clergy. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Sparksville, KY. The family requests visiting after 4pmCT, on Friday, September 22, 2107, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Donnel Walker, 71, Adair County, KY (1946-2017)


He was born in Barren County, KY on July 14, 1946 the son of the late Edwin P. & Geneva Nell Fudge Walker. He died Wednesday, September 20, 2017, in Sparksville, Adair County, KY, at the age of 71 years, two months, and six days.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Claywell; and three brothers, Howard Walker, Jerry Walker and Dale Walker

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Pelston Walker of Sparksville, KY and the following:
  • Two daughters: Deena Murphy of Sparksville, KY; Angela Hutchison and husband David of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Terry Walker and wife Jan of Bowling Green, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Lauren Crawhorn and husband Charlie & Trevor Murphy
