Jewell Rector Belton, formerly of Adair Co., KY (1935-2017)

She was the daughter of the late Sam & Nina Rector. She leaves many family members currently living in Adair County and from Adair County living elsewhere. Her final resting place will be at Tarter Cemetery in Adair County, between the Millerfields and Webb's Crossroads (Russell County)

Jewell Belton, 81, of Louisville, KY formally of Adair County, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.

A celebration of Jewell's life will be held at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Monday, September 18, 2017 with a visitation 8am-11amCT/9am-12pmNoonCT,also on Monday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions/Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272.

Graveside service will be Monday, September 18, 2017, at 3pmCT, at Tarter Cemetery on KY 76, Columbia, KY, with burial to follow.

She was born in Columbia, Kentucky on December 23, 1935. She was the daughter of the late Sam & Nina Rector. She died Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at the age of 81 years, nine months, and 20 days.

She is survived by:
  • Her beloved five children; Shirley Belton, Rickey Belton, James Belton, Guy (Diane) Belton, and Timothy (Chandra) Belton

  • Two brothers: J C Rector and Jerry Rector of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Nelda Wolford of Louisville, KY

  • And a host of other family members and friends to mourn her passing
Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, is in charge of local arrangements.
