He was a Baptist preacher. He was a native of Barren County, KY, and a resident of Metcalfe County, KY, at the time of his death. His parents, Homer Lee & Lillian Lewis Jennings, survive.

Homer Leroy Jennings, age 69, of Edmonton, died Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Green view Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 1pmCT, at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Brother Larry Noe officiating. Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12, 2017, 4pm-8pmCT, and on Wednesday, after 7amCT, until time of services.


Homer Leroy Jennings, 69, Metcalfe Co., KY (1948-2017)


Born August 5, 1948 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, he was a son of Homer Lee & Lillian Lewis Jennings, Tompkinsville, KY, who survive. He died Sunday, September 10, 2017, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 69 years, one month, and five days.

He was a Baptist preacher.

Survivors include:
  • Several nieces and nephews

  • One sister-in-law: Juanita Jones

  • One brother-in-law, David Chapman

  • One step sister: Linda Carter, IN

  • And two step brothers: Jerry Whitlock and Charles Whitlock, IN
He was preceded in death by one brother, Dearil Jones, one sister, Patricia Jester and one step sister Mary Whitlock.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
