Early release will continue each Friday school day through April 27, 2018. The dates are highlighted in yellow on the 2017-2018 Calendar PDF on the district website. (Note: ERF's will continue to be Events Entries on ColumbiaMagazine.com) Early release Fridays provide teachers - who will stay at school until 3pmCT -with an opportunity to plan, work on their curriculum, collaborate with other teachers, and implement new educational strategies based on data. Students may stay at school if they wish, but bus transportation will not be provided after 1pmCT. If students are having difficulty in a subject or just need to catch up on some work, they can stay and use that time if they want to or if their parents want them to.Parents in that situation should contact their student's school for more details, says Robbie Harmon, Dean of Students/Directorof Student Personnel.
