Susie Magdalene (Mag) Dudgeon, Columbia, KY (1927-2017)

She was a member of Cane Valley Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was a native of Taylor County, KY, and a resident of Adair County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Robert Morris & Delta Lou Cravens Gore, and the widow of Floyd Dudgeon, her husband of 42 years. She was a member of a prominent, old line Adair County family She leaves one step-daughter, a sister and a brother, and 11 nieces and nephews to carry on her legacy.

Susie Magdalene "Mag" Dudgeon, 90, of Columbia, Kentucky, died Monday, August 28, 2017 at 9:57amCT, at her home.

Funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville, KY, with Rev. John Chowning officiating. Burial in Cane Valley Cemetery, 135 Cane Valley Cemetery Road, Cane Valley, KY. Visitation will be after 11amCT, Wednesday.



Susie Magdalene (Mag) Dudgeon, 90, Adair Co. KY/Taylor Co. native (1927-2017)


She was born March 10, 1927, in Taylor County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Robert Morris & Delta Lou Cravens Gore. She died Monday, August 28, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 90 years, five months, and 18 days.

She married Floyd Dudgeon in 1946 and was married 42 years until his death in 1988.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Harvey Gore and Jean Brockman; and a nephew, Michael Gore.

She was a member of Cane Valley Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include:
  • One step-daughter: Ruby Sublett of Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Rebecca Blankenship of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: H.C. Gore of Campbellsville, KY

  • Nieces and nephews: Martha Blankenship, Robin Gibson, Charlotte Chandler, Walter Blankenship, Jr., Dave Gore, David Brockman, June Judd, Kay Dile, Vickie Buckman, Hal Wayne Gore and Rene Marcum
