2-Day festival in Summer Shade is 26/27 Aug 2017

The Branstetter Park Festival will kick off at 10:30amCT on Saturday, August 26, 2017, in Branstetter Park, 396 Branstetter Park Old Trace Rd, Summer Shade, KY (at the intersection of KY Hwy 90 and KY Hwy 163 in Metcalfe County). Admission is free.

The festival will feature music by Kentucky Just Us, Hornet's Nest Pickers, and Jared Shaw & Friends. All pickers and singers are invited. Concessions will include chicken, Mexican hamburgers plates, pinto beans, corn bread, slaw, hotdogs and homemade desserts.



Children's games will begin Saturday at 1pmCT, and include a diaper derby, ball toss, stick horse race, sack races, sponge relays, 3-legged race, tricycle race, biggest bubble contest, water balloon throw, hula hoop tug of war, and hidden shoe relay.

On Sunday, the 91st Annual Homecoming will kick off at 10amCT, with potluck lunch at NoonCT, and singing in the afternoon with the Parnell Family.
