Adair & Russell SOs, Russell Springs PD, thwart alleged burglary

Coordinated effort by Officers from Adair and Russell County results in arrest of suspect at business on Russell Springs Road in Adair County. Suspect faces multiple charges, lodged in Adair County Regional Jail on $25,000 cash bond.
Note: Charges/allegations are not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by law enforcement is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

From Adair County Sheriff's Office

Sheriff Harrison Moss reports that on the morning of Saturday, August 19, 2017 at approximately 5:15amCT, Deputy Josh Durbin was dispatched to 10233 Russell Springs Road for a burglary in progress.



Once on scene, 37 year old Jeremy Thomas of Russell Springs was taken into custody. After a short investigation it was determined that Thomas had several stolen items in his possession that were stolen from a business located on Russell Road in Adair County along with a substantial amount of methamphetamine.

Thomas was arrested on charges of Theft by unlawful taking over $500 but under $10,000, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia buy/possess.

Thomas was arrested by Deputy Josh Durbin and lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash bond. Deputy Durbin was assisted on scene by officers from Russell Springs Police Department and Russell County Sheriff's Office and Adair County Deputy Aaron Rainwater.
