He was employed for many years as a backhoe operator for Garrison Construction and was retired from the Columbia Utilities Commission. He was an avid University of Louisville basketball fan. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and hunting and fishing. He was a member of a large, well respected family. She was the son of Oscar & Mary Pearl Nelson Baker. His wife, Celystine Stotts Baker, survives. He leaves eight direct living descendants, spanning three generations. Odell Baker, 74, Adair County, KY (1942-2017) He was born October 16, 1942 near Sparksville, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Oscar & Mary Pearl Nelson Baker. He died Tuesday, August 15, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 74 years, nine months, and 30 days. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Edith Brown; one brother, Russell Baker; and by two grandchildren, Joshua Reed Moss and Britney Burris. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Celystine Stotts Baker of Columbia, KY, and the following:
