FRANKFORT, KY - Anyone or any organization in need of desks, filing cabinets, chairs or other office furnishings, won't want to miss the Division of Surplus Properties' huge spot-bid sale on 7am-12pmNoonCT/8am-1pmET, Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at the Capital Plaza Tower, 500 Mero Street, Frankfort.

The 24-story office building is now vacant and the Commonwealth has deemed many office furniture and personal property items to be surplus. While these items are no longer useful to the Commonwealth, they may be useful to all types of non-profits, civic or other organizations or to the general public.

Hundreds of items including desks, filing cabinets, lateral filing cabinets, credenzas, tables, buffets, bookcases, shelves, hutches, typing stands, white boards, bulletin boards, pictures, typewriters, rolling partitions, projector screens, lamps, refrigerators, televisions, projectors, trash cans, chairs, and more are available.


All interested parties must enter and register in the east lobby (side facing the Transportation Building). Registrants will receive a bid-sheet of all items.

Sales and Payment:

Bidding will conclude at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET sharp. All sales are final and items are "as-is." Payment is due by 5pmCT/6pmET, on August 9. Items are located on the ground floor, mezzanine, lobby and first floor.

Removal of Items:

The winning bidders must remove their item(s) by 2:30pmCT/3:30pmET on Friday August 11, 2017. No after-hours or weekend loading. The loading dock will be unavailable; some help may be provided to assist with getting items to your vehicle. It is the purchaser's responsibility to load and secure their items.

Failure to remove items will disbar the bidder from any Commonwealth of Kentucky public sale for a period of two years.
