Mildred Bault Gray, Taylor Co., KY/Adair Co. native (1936-2017)

Mildred was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church. She loved caring for others, was a very good cook and enjoyed quilting. She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Taylor County, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur & Iverne Williams Bault, and the widow of Leon Gray.

Mildred Gray, 81, died Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Campbellsville Health and Rehabilitation Center, Campbellsville, KY, where she had resided for twelve years.

Funeral services for Mildred Gray were held at 10amCT/11amET, Friday, August 4m 2017, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with Bro. James Collison officiating. Burial is in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Visitation was 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.



Serving as casket bearers were Darian Gray, Lyle Knifley, Craig Ford, Terry Roberts, Sam Harper and Ronnie Curry.

She was born in Adair County, KY, on January 2, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur & Iverne Williams Bault. She died Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 81 years, six months and 29 days of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Gray; a daughter, Cathy Gray; a brother, Ivan Bault; a half-sister, Debbie Bault and a half-brother, Kenny Bault.

Mildred was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church. She loved caring for others, was a very good cook and enjoyed quilting.

Mildred is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Donna Sprowles and her husband, Keith of Campbellsville, KY; and Elaine Chesser of Lebanon, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Amy Knifley and her husband, Lyle, of Campbellsville, KY; and Randall Chesser of Marion County, KY

  • Three great-grandchildren: Aleah, Aubreigh and Lance Knifley

  • A sister: Sharon Ford and her husband, Raymond, of Campbellsville, KY

  • A half-brother: DeWayne Bault and his wife, Brenda of Campbellsville, KY.
