Kentucky State Police arrest corrections officer

Employee at Western Kentucky Correctional Complex alleged to have promoted contraband. Large quantity of Suboxone seized.

KSP Post 1, Mayfield, KY

EDDYVILLE, KY (28 Jul 2017) – Kentucky State Police arrested a Corrections Officer following the discovery of drugs at the West Kentucky Correctional Complex in Lyon County. On Sunday, July 23, at approximately 6:30amCT, KSP received a call from West Kentucky Correctional Complex, requesting a trooper for an employee believed to have brought drugs into the facility.


Trooper Aaron Acree responded, seized a large quantity of Suboxone, and arrested Danny L. Ford, age 49, of Dawson Springs, KY. Ford was charged with First Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance and First Degree Promoting Contraband, and was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail, Princeton, KY. The investigation is continuing by Trooper Aaron Acree. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555.
