He was a member of a large, respected Adair County, KY family. He was the son of the late Ruth & Paul Burton. His wife, of 57 years, Beverly Burton, survives. He leaves 25 direct living descendants. He was a drywaller by profession.

Benjamin "Ben" Burton, age 78, of Mt. Washington, KY, passed away Sunday July 9, 2017.

His funeral will be 9amCT/10amET, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens, Highland Memory Gardens, 279 Landis Lane, Mt Washington, KY. Visitation will be 2pm-7pmCT/3pm-8pmET, Wednesday, July 12, 2017.



He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Beverly Burton; and parents, Ruth & Paul Burton; grandson, Chris Bryant; and brothers, Thurman and Wayne Burton.

He is survived by:
  • His children: Jim Burton (Sharon), Katrina Terrell (Ron), Teri Bryant (Mike), John Burton, and Jeff Burton (Lisa)

  • Siblings: Geraldine Cyr, Sam Burton (Sheila), Eb Burton (Donna), Pauline Gregory and Rebecca Burton

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • And eight great grandchildren.
