Keith Devore Martin, Metcalfe County, KY (1947-2017)

He was the patriarch of very large, respected Metcalfe County, KY, family. He was a native of Metcalfe County and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Robert K. & Alma Devore Martin. His wife, Darla Morrison Martin, survives. He leaves 14 direct living descendants, spanning three generations. He was a member of the Grace Union Church in Metcalfe County.

Keith Devore Martin, 70, died peacefully Saturday morning, July 8, 2017 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Joe Field Cemetery. Visitation will be 3pm-8pmCT, Monday, July 10, 2017, and after 9amCT, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Keith Devore Martin, Metcalfe County, KY (1947-2017)

He was born May 13, 1947, in the Wisdom Community of Metcalfe County, Edmonton, KY. Je was the son of the late Robert K. & Alma Devore Martin. He died Saturday, July 8, 2017, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 70 years, one month, and 25 days.

Keith was a member of the Grace Union Baptist Church, Edmonton, KY.

He is survived by his wife Darla Morrison Martin and the following:
  • Three children: Stacey Minor, Angie Riddle (Stevie), and Joey Martin (Leslie), all of of Glasgow, KY

  • Eight grandchildren: Nicole Scott, Jasper Mundy, Evan Riddle, Owen Riddle, Coleman Deckard, Noah Morgan, Santanna Martin and Chloe Martin

  • Three great grandchildren: Tayden, Haisely and Jaycelyn

  • Three brothers: Lawrence Martin of Glasgow, KY; and Alan Martin and Roger Martin (Renae), all of Edmonton, KY
  • He was preceded in death by his parents Robert K. & Alma Devore Martin. A special aunt and uncle Cellus and Kathine Glover who helped raise him; and grandparents Ode & Ollie Jolly Devore and Winfrey & Maye Cooksey Martin.
