Mrs. Grace White Arms, Cumberland Co., KY (1923-2017)

She was a member of a large, respected family. She was the daughter of the late Segal & Beulah Ballard White and the widow of William Arms. She leaves a large family with deep roots and strong family ties in Cumberland County.

Mrs. Grace White Arms passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY having attained the age of 93 years, 11 months and 7 days.

The funeral service will be at 1pmCT, Monday, July 10, 2017 in The Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Dutch Creek Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. The family will receive friends after 3pmCT, Sunday, July 9, 2017 until the funeral hour on Monday.

She was born in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY on Friday, July 30, 1923, She was the daughter of Segal & Beulah Ballard White. She died Friday, July 7, 2017, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 93 years, 11 months and seven days.

She was a Christian and a member Marrowbone Church of Christ in Marrowbone, KY, she was farmer and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Arms, whom she married in 1940; her son, Rondal Arms; her daughter, Brenda Knight; her brothers, Terry White and Calvin White; her sisters, Geneva White, Birdie Skaggs and Delcie Humphrey.

She is survived by:
  • Her children: Sherman Arms of Burkesville, KY; Roger and Connie Arms of Marrowbone, KY; David and Vellas Arms of Burkesville, KY; Phillip and Brenda Arms of Burkesville, KY

  • Her siblings: Ferry White of Burkesville, KY; Ollie Huff of Glasgow, KY; Mildred Fletcher of Burkesville, KY

  • Her grandchildren: Dale Arms, Ricky Arms, Keith Arms, Sylvia Lee Melton, Darlene Arms, Randy Knight, Greg Knight, Michelle Knight, Michael Arms, and Randy Arms

  • And several great-grandchildren
