John Alton Hoskins, 85, of Hamilton, Ohio (formerly of Russell County) died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Glen Meadows Nursing Home in Hamilton.

Graveside service for John Alta Hoskins will be 12pmNoonCT, Monday, July 10, 2017 at the Poplar Grove Cemetery.

He was born April 28, 2017 in Liberty, Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Estil & Emma Lois Skaggs Hoskins. He dies Thursday, July 6, 2017, in Hamilton, Butler County, Ohio, at the age of 85 years, two months, and eight days.

He was a truck driver.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Estil Hoskins, Jr. and a sister, Alta Bernice Hoskins.

Survivors include:
  • Three children: Emma Hoskins, Mary Gialloreto, and John Hoskins

  • Four grandchildren

  • Four sisters: Betty Hibbard, Emma McGuire, Pearl Robertson, and Annis Halcomb.
