Duel (Dee Dee) Wilson, 87, Russell County, KY (1930-2017)

He was a retired Veteran of US Army with over 26 years of service, and will be accorded full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard at committal services. He was a native of Russell County, KY, and a resident at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Dora Egbert & Ina Frances Coffey Wilson. His wife of 53 years, Joyce Stargel Wilson, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants. He was a member of West 80 Church of God.

Duel "Dee Wee" Wilson, 87, of Russell Springs, KY, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, KY.

Funeral service for Duel "Dee Wee" Wilson will be at 10amCT, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro.Scott Proctor officiating. Visitation 5pm-8pmCT, Wednesday, July 5, 2017, and after 8amCT, Thursday. Interment in the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.



Duel (Dee Dee) Wilson, 87, Russell County, KY (1930-2017)


He was born June 5, 1930 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Dora Egbert & Ina Frances Coffey Wilson. He died Monday, July 3, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 11 months and 29 days.

He was a member of West 80 Church of God.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Survivors include:
  • His wife of 55 years: Joyce Stargel Wilson, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two children: Teresa (Danny) Wade, Russell Springs, KY; and Roger Wilson, Russell Springs

  • Two grandchildren: Danielle (Ashley) White, Russell Springs, KY; and Makalyn Wade, Russell Springs

  • One great grandson: Deacon Story White

  • Two sisters: Naomi Jasper, Russell Springs, KY; and Lacona Plank, Russell Springs
