Morene Brown, Casey County, KY native (1934-2017)

She was the daughter of the late Laura & Jim Allen of Liberty, KY. and the widow of Lilburn "Jim" Brown, her husband of 64 years. She loved good music and socializing with the many musicians she and Jim met through the years and, prior to her illness, looked forward to regular workouts at the YMCA in Colerain Township. Morene made a point to tell people that she fell in love with every job she had ever done. Those jobs included much, from early farm duties in Liberty, KY, then Muncie, Indiana to decades of factory and seamstress work around the Cincinnati area. She was a strong woman and steadfast example to her children and grandchildren and if you had a chance to listen, Morene could spin and share a good story from a colorful life. Her final resting place will be in Casey County, KY. She leaves 18 direct living descendants.
