He was a native of Russell County and a resident of the county at the time of his death. He was a member of a highly regarded family, the son of hte late George H. & Florence Antle Coe. He was the widower of Geneva Coe. He leaves two direct and three step living descendants. Funeral service for George Coe will be 10amCT, Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Curt Hill officiating. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Thursday, at the funeral home.. Private entombment, for family members only, will be in the Dixon Cemetery with full miltary honors by the Russell County Honor Guard. He died Wednesday, June 28, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 79 years, 10 days. He was the owner of Coe's Steak House and a member of 3trees Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Coe; granddaughter, Ashley Suzzanne Coe; brother, Tom Coe; two half brothers, Brock Coe and Joe Coe; and half sister, Nina Coe.
