Leroy Johnson, 89, died Tuesday June 27, 2017 at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be at 1pmCT,, Friday June 30, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Eddie Webster officiating. Interment will be in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Barton Run Road, Clarkson, KY. Visitation will be 10am-10pmCT, Friday June 30, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.



Leroy Johnson, 89, Russell Springs, KY (1928-2017)


He was born on Monday January 23, 1928 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY. He was the son of the late Nellie Ann Clark Johnson & William Stoy Johnson. He died Tuesday, Jun 27, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 89 years, five months, and five days.

He was a veteran of U.S. Navy and attended Russell Springs First Baptist Church.

\ He is survived by:
  • Two daughters: Marsha Newton, Mt. Washington, KY; and Pamela Priddy, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sons: Lonnie Johnson, Clarksville, IN; and Ron Johnson, Clarksville, IN

  • On sister: Evadeen Hogan, Quincy, IL

  • Twelve grandchildren

  • Thirteen great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jacqueline, and a son, Lee Roy Johnson.

Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
