Velma Prince, 67, Taylor County, KY (1949-2017) She was the matriarch of a highly regarded South Central Kentucky family.She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. Velma spent many years working at Fruit of the Loom; she earned a Bachelor Degree in Business from Campbellsville University after the closing of the plant and later retired from Monumental Life Insurance Company. Although working in her flowers brought Velma much joy, it did not compare to the pride she felt while watching her grandchildren play sports. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Rafferty & Maudie Wise Rafferty. She leaves 12 direct and one step living descendants. She had strong family ties in Adair and Taylor Counties, and elsewhere.
