George Calvin Walker age 52 years of the Knifley community passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 11:28amCT, at Russell County Hospital in Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral service Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Clergy officiating will be Bro. James Walker & Bro. Jody Perkins. Interment in Robinson Chapel Cemetery, 10494 Knifley Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Saturday.



George Calvin Walker, 52, Knifley, Adair County, KY (1965-2017)


He was born on May 9, 1965 at Liberty, Casey County, KY. He was the son of the late Ralph Clifton Walker & Esther Leora Perkins Tucker of Knifley who survives. He died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 52 years, 22 days.



Besides his mother, Esther Leora Perkins Tucker, he is survived by his

  • Step-father: Danny Dale Tucker of Knifley, KY

  • One brother: Clifton O'Neil Walker of Knifley, KY

  • Three sisters: Marcella Ann McDonald (Jr.) of Campbellsville, KY; Michelle Denise Thompson (Barry) of Knifley, KY, and Tonya Sue Wood (Stephen) of Knifley, KY

  • Nephews & niece: James Walker, John Walker, Andrea Pruyear, Jordan Wood and Jonathan Wood

  • Two great nephews and three great nieces

  • A host of other relatives and friends
He was disabled
