Mr. Dylan Michael Bland, 12, Campbellsville, KY (2004-2017)

Dylan was a student at Taylor County Middle School, and had recently completed the 7th grade. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Fairview Baptist Church with his family. Dylan was an energetic, playful, caring, and loving child with a big heart and a gracious smile. He was talented in several sports, playing basketball, baseball, and was looking forward to playing football, but he also enjoyed playing the trumpet and piano in band or singing in the choir. He made lasting friendships, and cherished time spent with his family.

Mr. Dylan Michael Bland of Campbellsville, KY, was born on June 3, 2004 in Bowling Green to Jason and Kimberly (Osborne) Bland. He tragically and unexpectedly passed into the Lord's hands on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Green County, KY.

There will be a funeral service to honor Dylan's life on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 11amCT/12pmNoonCT, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Don Gowin will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Wednesday, May 24, 2017.

Mr. Dylan Michael Bland of Campbellsville was born on June 3, 2004 in Bowling Green to Jason and Kimberly (Osborne) Bland. He died Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Green County, KY. He was 12 years, 11 months, and 17 days of age. Dylan was a student at Taylor County Middle School, and had recently completed the 7th grade. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Fairview Baptist Church with his family.

Dylan was an energetic, playful, caring, and loving child with a big heart and a gracious smile. He was talented in several sports, playing basketball, baseball, and was looking forward to playing football, but he also enjoyed playing the trumpet and piano in band or singing in the choir. He made lasting friendships, and cherished time spent with his family.

He is survived by:
  • His parents: Jason and Kimberly Bland of Campbellsville, KY

  • A sister: Madelynn (Maddie) Bland of Campbellsville, KY

  • His maternal grandparents: John and Cheryl Osborne of Bowling Green, KY

  • His paternal grandparents: Linda (Tucker) Bland of Campbellsville, KY; and Jerry Bland of Mannsville, KY

  • Aunts and uncles: Jack and Geri (Bland) Stanley, their children Jessica and Gentry, and their grandson Evan, all of Hodgenville, KY; and Katie (Osborne) and Bryan Aldridge and their children Liam and Conner, all of Bowling Green, KY

  • And many other loving cousins and friends.
He was also preceded in death by an uncle, Michael Todd Bland.
