Louis Bennett, 80, Russell Co., KY (1937-2017)

He attended The Well Church in Stanford, KY, and was a custodian at Russell Springs Elementary School for many years. He was the son of the late Olis & Wilmoth Patterson Bennett. His wife, Stella Mann Bennett, survives. He leaves 28 direct living descendants.

Louis Bennett, 80, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 7pmCT, at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY

The funeral service for Louis Bennett will be Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbelsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Sunday, at the funeral home.


Louis Bennett, 80, Russell Co., KY (1937-2017)


He was born January 23, 1937, in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Olis & Wilmoth Patterson Bennett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Oren Whittle.


Survivors include:
  • His wife: Stella Mann Bennett of Russell Springs, KY

  • Three sons: Jeff (Joanne) Bennett of Stanford, KY; Gary (Becky) Bennett of Shelbyville, IN; abd Greg (Sherry) Bennett of Russell Springs, KY


  • One daughter: Beverly (Russ) Rhinehart of Shelbyville, IN

  • Three brothers: Lavern and Paul Bennet both of Russell Springs, KY; and Winston Bennett of Columbia, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Thirteen great-grandchildren
