Mr. Davis served 22 years on the Taylor County Board of Education, first during Gary Seaborne's administration, and, at the time of his death, with Superintendent Roger Cook. While he was chairman of the board, Taylor County saw the most ambitious new facility construction in its history, with the construction of the new Taylor County Intermediate School and the massive new campus for Taylor County High School. Mr. Davis is given a huge share of the credit for these advances being realized. A complete obituary will be broadcast on 99.9 FM and posted on ColumbiaMagazine.com when available from Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY.
