Elizabeth Mings Cave, 94, Taylor Co., KY (1922-2017)

She was member of Palestine Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Tyler Mings & Laura Delia Sluder Mings. She was the widow of Leslie Hammon Cave. She leaves three direct living descendants. Elizabeth Mings Cave was retired after 34 years service with General Telephone Company.

Burial will be in Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery, Taylor County, KY. Visitation will be 8am-10aMCT/9am-11amET, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.



Elizabeth Mings Cave, 94, Taylor Co., KY (1922-2017)


Elizabeth Mings Cave was the daughter of the late Tyler Mings & Laura Delia Sluder Mings. She was born July 11, 1922, in Taylor County, KY. She died Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 94 years, nine months, and 19 days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.

She retired from General Telephone Company after thirty-five years of service.

Elizabeth united in marriage to Leslie Hammon Cave and he preceded her in death April 20, 1996.

She is survived by:
  • One son, Alan Leslie Cave of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Katie Michelle Cave Wise and husband, Michael of Shelbyville, KY; and Amber Brianne Cave of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three sisters: Naomi Mitchell of Columbus, IN; Barbara Green of Macon, GA; and Juanita Brown of Miami, FL

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Walter Mings and Edgar Mings.

Family request expressions of sympthay be donations to American Cancer Society and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
