By Anthony Latessa

COLUMBIA, KY (Mon 24 Apr 2017) - The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team has added Mya Schrembs for the 2017-18 season, head coach John B. Wethington announced on Monday.

"Mya comes from a very good high school program," Wethington said. "I know she will come in ready to work and represent our program with high character."

Schrembs joins the Blue Raiders from Green County High School in Greensburg, Kentucky where she was a two-time All-Region selection for the Dragons. During her senior campaign at Green County, the 5-foot-5 guard averaged 20.2 points and led her team in three pointers.

A member of the 2,000 point club at Green County, Schrembs earned All-District Team honors and was named to the All-Fifth Region Team in 2017. Schrembs helped lead her team to a District championship and a Fifth Region All "A" Tournament championship in her senior season.

"Mya is a great addition to not only our team but our campus as well," Wethington said. "Anytime you can get a local player of her caliber its great for our program."
