Dennis Gordon Underwood, 71, of Columbia, KY formerly of Larue County, KY, passed away suddenly Tuesday, April 11, 2017 in Rocky Mount, NC, while on a business trip. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 11amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greenburg St., Columbia, KY. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Larue County, KY. Clergy officiating will be Bro. Darrin Blair.The family requests visiting after 3:30pmCT on Friday at the funeral home. Dennis Underwood, 71 He was born March 15, 1946 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY. He was the son of the son of the late Duell and Effie Howell Underwood of Larue County, KY. He died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Rocky Mount, NC, at the age of 71 years, one month, and 27 days. Dennis was a truck driver for Rodgers Trucking Company in Columbia, KY for over 41 years and was also a foreman for Rodgers Trucking. He attended the Freedom Separate Baptist Church and was a fisherman. Survived by two sons:
