C/AC Chamber meets at Lindsey Wilson College 11 April 2017

The Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce met at Cranmer Dining Center and announced its annual contest for leaders in Adair County, underway now, with winners to be announced at the Chamber banquet on May 16 at 6pmCT at Cranmer Dining Center. See below for specifics on nominations and voting for your favorite individuals and businesses.

Guest speaker Lori Davis, RN, brought information from The Lake Cumberland District Health Department on "Wellness in the Workplace".



Joined in the presentation by Jamie Lee, RN, details were given on what the Health Department has to offer businesses in the community and ways employers can make our communities healthier, happier and more productive. Both are employees of the health education area of the LCDHD.

It was also announced at the meeting that the annual Chamber Golf Scramble will be held on May 18 at Lindsey Wilson at the Pines, "a busy week," President Ellen Zornes said.

To nominate someone or a business, just visit the Chamber website, columbia-adaircounty.com/chamber-business, then you will be directed by email from there so you can vote your choice(s). Final votes are due no later than 4pmCT on Monday, April 17, 2017. Votes will be tallied immediately thereafter.

The Award Categories are:
Business/Industry Of The Year - Nominee must be a Chamber Member
Agriculturalist Of The Year - Nominee must be a Chamber Member
Business/Professional Man Of The Year - Nominee must be a Chamber Member
Business/Professional Woman Of The Year - Nominee must be a Chamber Member
Educator Of the Year - Nominee must be an educator in the Adair County Public Schools or Lindsey Wilson College
Employee Of the Year - Nominee's Employer must be a Chamber Member
Outstanding Health Advocate Of The Year - Nominee must be a Chamber Member
Volunteer Of the Year (individual or group) - Nominee does not have to be a Chamber Member.
