She was the matriarch of a large, respected family, the daughter of the late Charlie & Mattie R. Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY. Visitation will begin on Monday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Mrs. Blackwell was a member of the Mount Moriah Methodist Church in Cumberland Co. Kentucky and was employed by Fruit of Loom in Campbellsville for several years and was a homemaker. Ruth Winfred Blackwell, 91, Adair County, KY (1925-2017) She was born Friday, October 2, 1925 in Cumberland County, KY. She was the daughter of the late: Charlie & Mattie R. Allen Williams. She died Saturday, March 25, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 91 years, five months, and 23 days. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Blackwell Sr. in 1972 and by one son Robert Blackwell Jr. Mrs. Blackwell is survived by:
