Mrs. Wethington was a retired employee of Cosco. She loved bluegrass music and traveling, having been to all 48 continental States. She was truly a "kind soul".

Martha L. Wethington, of North Vernon, IN, formerly of Casey County, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, in North Vernon, IN. She was 86.

Funeral mass will be at 10amCT/11amET, Saturday, March 25, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 5075 S KY 551, Clementsville, KY, with Father Edmond Ani officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Friday, March 24, 2017, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY.


Martha L. Wethington, 86, Casey Co., KY (1930-2017)


Born August 10, 1930, in Casey Co., KY, she was a daughter of the late Hubert and Delmar Rose Montgomery Clements. She died Saturday, March 18, 2017, in North Vernon, Jennings County, IN, at the age of 86 years, seven months, and eight days.

Mrs. Wethington was a retired employee of Cosco. She loved bluegrass music and traveling, having been to all 48 continental States. She was truly a "kind soul".

Survivors include:
  • Her daughter: Janet Peters of Indiana

  • Sons: Gary Wethington of Indiana; and Robert Wethington of Illinois

  • Brothers: Bill Clements of Indiana and Don and James Clements, both of Clementsville, KY

  • Sister: Wilma Samuels of Indiana

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Several grandchildren

  • Several great-grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Merl, Paul, and Norman Clements; and sisters, Geraldine Campfield and Maxine Clements.
