Peggy Lou Holmes Luttrell, 56, Columbia, KY (1960-2017)

She was a homemaker. Peggy enjoyed fishing and loved her grandchildren. She was a member of a large respected family and of the First Apostolic Church. She was the daughter of Doris Jean Stargle Holmes & Herbert Ray Holmes, both of whom survive and the widow of Curtis Luttrell. She leaves 10 direct living descendants.

Peggy Lou Holmes Luttrell of Columbia, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at TJ Health Columbia.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 1pmCT, at First Apostolic Church, 3563 KY-80, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Randy Cox and Rev. Howard Britt officiating. Burial will follow in Bowmer Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11amCT, until time for services at First Apostolic Church in Russell County.



Peggy Lou Holmes Luttrell, 56, Columbia, KY (1960-2017)

She was 56 years old. Born on June 30, 1960, she was the daughter of Doris Jean Stargle Holmes & Herbert Ray Holmes, both of whom survive. She died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 56 years, eight months, and 14 days.

She was a homemaker. Peggy enjoyed fishing and loved her grandchildren. She was a member of First Apostolic Church.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Luttrell; and one granddaughter, Kaylee Luttrell.

Survivors include, in addition to her parents,:
  • One daughter: Lula Holley (and Weston Popplewell) of Columbia, KY

  • One son: Everett Luttrell (and Danielle Reeves) of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters: Annette Holmes of Columbia, KY; and Marcella York (and Steve) of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Anthony Holmes of Columbia, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Dale Luttrell Jr., Breanna Holley, Landon Popplewell, Matthew Holley, Madison Pursley, and Isaiah Kane

  • Two great-grandchildren: Jacelynn Luttrell and Owen Luttrell
